Sept. 15, 2008
Dear Libertarian Supporter,
If you check out the front page of the Libertarian Party's Web site, you will notice there are only 50 days left until the presidential election.
Just 50 days until we elect the next president of the United States.
It seems just yesterday that Bob Barr, our presidential nominee, took the stage at the national convention, telling us we could not waste one single day of the 163 that remained.
In the past 113 days, the Libertarian Party has seen an explosion of growth, and increased prominence in the national media.
From coast to coast, border to border, the Libertarian Party has been spreading the message of liberty.
The 2008 season of ballot access is also winding down, with ballot access in 44 states currently, and more pending finalization. It has been costly, and it has required thousands of hours of time from volunteers—but the Libertarian Party will be there on the ballot for voters looking for more choice.
But the work isn't done!
In making this a banner year for the Libertarian Party, we must take full advantage of the little time we have left.
This is why we need your help.
We are asking for $50 to mark the beginning of the last 50 days until the presidential election. Think of it as simply a dollar-a-day until Nov. 4.
This money will help go towards any impending lawsuits filed by the Libertarian Party, as well as to many of the other functions of the national office to help further the message of Liberty in the United States.
The American people need you!
There is simply no other political party in the United States willing to lead the liberty movement, which will restore the Constitution, lower your taxes, shrink government and allow people to live their lives free of the nanny-state.
With your support, we will spread the message to all Americans.
If you are able to give a donation of $50 to mark the last 50 days of the election, please do so today. Also consider a donation of $75, $100, $500 or $1000 if you are able.
With your help, we will finally be able to show Republicans and Democrats what liberty looks like.
Thank you for your contribution, and thank you for all your support this year. It is because of donors like you that we are truly the nation's biggest third-party, and the best political party for liberty!
Sincerely,
Bill Redpath
National Chairman
Libertarian National Committee

Big Oil controls politicians in Washington.
We found out this week that Bush administration officials were literally in bed with the oil and gas industry. In a major scandal, public officials were giving oil companies access to offshore drilling wells in exchange for sex, drugs and money.
This is exactly the problem with America's energy policy. Too many people in Washington are paid for by Big Oil.
We've put together a great new animated video to underscore how Big Oil controls politicians in Washington.
Click here to watch the video and then pass it along to your friends!
Too many Republicans in Washington have been blocking investment in clean energy. Instead, they've been voting to keep tax breaks for oil companies.
We need Americans to understand how politicians are paid for by Big Oil and to mobilize Americans to call for a new energy policy: one that cuts tax breaks for big oil and invests in clean energy.
Click here to watch the short video and tell your friends.
America needs a clean energy policy - one that isn’t paid for by Big Oil.
Sincerely,
Gene Karpinski

Rep. Kucinich, ImpeachBush press conference renews impeachment call
Rep. Kucinich, ImpeachBush press conference renews impeachment call
Rep. Dennis Kucinich and Radhika Miller of ImpeachBush.org
Yesterday, representative Dennis Kucinich submitted 50,000 more names to the clerk of the House demanding impeachment. On Tuesday, Rep. Jim McDermott (D.-WA) spoke on the House floor in favor of impeachment. As Rep. Kucinich said yesterday, more than 2 million Americans have signed petitions demanding impeachment, making it one of the greatest exercises in grassroots democracy in recent times.
Impeachment has become an unavoidable issue on the floor of the House of Representatives, despite the efforts to take impeachment “off the table.” This amazing development is the result of the work of ImpeachBush.org and others who are petitioning, and joining rallies in cities and towns across the country to demand impeachment. Please make a donation right now to keep up this momentum.
Excerpts from Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s remarks from yesterday’s press conference:
"Standing with me here today are representatives of organizations who have been part of a national grassroots impeachment movement which has collected over a million signatures. Nationally over two million people have signed impeachment petitions. I want to thank the leaders for their efforts and work with them to continue to build a movement for truth.
“9/11 is the day the world changed. We want today, September 10, 2008 to be a new beginning in our efforts to change the world. For my part, I am going to ask those grassroots leaders who have channeled their energies into defending the Constitution and the rule of law to join me in this new endeavor.”
Radhika Miller of ImpeachBush:
Good afternoon, my name is Radhika Miller. I am here representing ImpeachBush.org that was formed by former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark on January 18, 2003 from the stage of a rally of 500,000 people who were demonstrating on the National Mall just across the street to demand no war of aggression against Iraq. Today, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi have died and tens of thousands of US service members have been killed or badly wounded. These horrific casualties took place because George W. Bush was allowed and not punished for initiating a war of unprovoked aggression.
Since that time, more than one million people have voted at ImpeachBush.org in favor of impeachment. Volunteers from around the country collect these ImpeachBush petitions.
We want to thank Dennis Kucinich for having the courage and honesty to introduce 35 articles of impeachment in June of this year. Representative Kuncinch speaks for tens of millions of people who insist that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney and all officials be held accountable for criminal misconduct, breaking the peace in an unprovoked war of aggression and for shredding the Constitution.
The fact that Bush has four months left in office does not matter one bit when it comes to violating the Constitution. As one speaker after another made clear in the July 25 hearing of the House Judiciary Committee hearing: impeachment is a constitutionally mandated duty and not a matter of partisan politics.
If Congress refuses to carry out its obligations it sends a message to all future presidents, from either Party, that the Constitution has been stripped of all meaning. We have a duty to act and we will.

Palin's Barbarism
We’re getting the word out to voters about Governor Sarah Palin’s barbaric record on killing America’s wildlife, especially her active promotion of the brutal aerial hunting of wolves and bears.
Since Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund released our hard-hitting video on her support for the wolf slaughter last week…
Nearly 450,000 potential voters have read our email!
More than 68,000 potential voters have viewed the video on YouTube, with many more spread the word by re-posting the video on their websites and blogs and forwarding it to friends.
CNN and other news outlets have picked up the story, running clips from Defenders of Wildlife Action fund and our sister organization Defenders of Wildlife.
To reach hundreds of thousands of swing voters who will help decide this election, we’ve created a powerful new television spot detailing Governor Palin’s efforts to kill wolves and bears. But we can only run it with your financial help today.
Click here to watch our new television ad on Governor Palin’s support for aerial hunting and help us run it on television stations starting in Ohio, one of the handful of swing states that will decide the election.
Warning: This television ad -- like the governor’s support for this brutal practice -- is disturbing.
Rrunning a television ad during an election year is expensive. We need to raise $100,000 by September 17th to run this ad and support our work to provide a voice for endangered wildlife.
We’ve had hundreds of calls and emails from our supporters urging us to get the word out on Governor Palin’s bounty proposal to reward wolf killers with a $150 check and her support for aerial hunting of wolves and bears. Please donate $40 or whatever you can afford today to help us raise the funds we need to get the word out.
We have plenty of work to do.
As governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin has proposed paying a $150 bounty for the foreleg of each dead wolf. The aerial hunting program she champions has already killed nearly 800 wolves. She’s opposed efforts to save America’s polar bears from extinction. She’s fought against efforts to save some of the world’s most endangered beluga whales.
At nearly every opportunity, Governor Palin has sided with Big Oil, mining companies, wealthy trophy hunters and other entrenched special interests in support of policies that would greatly harm the wild animals we treasure.
American voters deserve to know the truth about Governor Sarah Palin’s record that’s killing our wildlife. Please donate today to help us run our new ad in Ohio next week, a key swing state.
With the election less than 50 days away, we don’t have much time to help voters learn about the real Sarah Palin. Please donate $40 or whatever you can afford today to help us spread the word.
With Gratitude,
Rodger Schlickeisen
President
Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund
P.S. We don’t have much time to get our Palin ad on the air. Please make a secure contribution online today or call 1-800-425-4632 to make your contribution by phone.

Is Palin McCains Monica Lewenski?
Is Palin McCains Monica Lewenski? Watch this video and judge for yourself.
Watch his eyes, and his hands.
It appears from the way he keeps turning his wedding ring that he's haveing problems keeping that vow so what do we do when a candidate strays?
Do we impeach him before he gets a chance to be elected?
Probably a good Idea, after all isn't he old enough to be her daddy?
And since they are both Republicans, members of the same political family; isn't that a lot like incest?

We'll tell you one thing and do another!
"MORE OF THE SAME: McCain's endorsement of the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is the second major federal intervention that he has supported in recent months.
In March, he backed the Federal Reserve's decision to extend a $30 billion credit line to finance the takeover of Bear Stearns by JP Morgan.
The strange dissonance between McCain's free-market, pro-deregulation rhetoric and his repeated support for sweeping government interventions suggests that a McCain administration would depart little from the Bush administration's status quo.
One example of just how close McCain and Bush are to one another with regard to financial policy is the Bush administration's appointment of Herbert Allison to head Fannie Mae in the wake of the government bailout.
Allison is a close McCain ally who during McCain's 2000 campaign was considered the "best bet" to become McCain's Treasury Secretary.
McCain himself argued yesterday that the U.S. Treasury "had broadly followed the McCain plan" for the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bailout.
McCain and Palin lament that "Fannie and Freddie's lobbyists succeeded and Congress failed" and claim that "under our administration this will not happen again."
However, their pattern of endorsing dramatic and expensive federal bailouts, while shunning the regulatory measures needed to prevent them, suggests otherwise."
The Progress Report
And don't forget the bridge to no where that Palin backed, or the road to the bridge to no where that Palin screwed the American publics pocket book out of the funds to build. The road is being built even though Congress saw through the bridge deal.
If these two get into office, then we may as well lay on our backs and spread our legs cause we're going to have another 4 years of screwing by bush politics in the White house; that is of course unless you are in the top 2% wealth wise.

McCains total disregard for the American Public
McCain would have given more thought to picking out another house for himself than he did in picking Sarah Palin. Such recklessness reveals a stunning lack of judgment and shows what little respect he has for the American public. His responsibility was not just to find a political running mate who appeals to the Republican base, but someone who is capable of stepping into the Oval Office as President of the United States. “Jim Hightower”
Instead he chose some one that would back his drill mania and 'uncle Georgees' scorched earth policies concerning the Environment. KILL THEM ALL IS HER MOTTO when it comes to wildlife.
“Palin Disclosures Spotlight McCain’s Screening Process,” The New York Times, September 2, 2008.
